​Laser marking machines, scribe marking machines and CNC engraving machines are used for engraving, carving and cutting a variety of materials. Below, we introduce the characteristics of key materials used in engraving, cutting and marking; provide specific details on how these materials are processed; and the products our machines produce.  

Precious Metals (Gold, Silver, Platinum and etc.)

Precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum are commonly used in the jewelry industry to create a personalized, decorative and unique jewelry, by engraving, cutting or carving names, initials, anniversary dates, messages, and many more, on these metals. Metal cutting, metal carving, drilling holes for setting gemstones and 3D master mold carving are done as well. Engraving is done using laser, or diamond tools while carving and cutting is done using laser, or cutting blades.

Wood

Wood is a common material we see around us. It has a nice texture and feel (depending on the type and color), and it is easy to process. Wood is a commonly used material in wood crafting, in making handmade pens, stationery items, tableware (such as spoons and chopsticks, cutting boards, etc.,), accessories, souvenirs, signboards and door plates. 

Wood is carved using rotating carving blades; letters, patterns, logos or figures can be carved into it. Anniversary dates, names, company names, logos and pictures can be engraved on wood.

Acrylic, Plastic

Acrylic is a common material used on light guide panels, LED lighting panels, frames, signs, door signs, name tags, stamps and soap stamps. It is usually used for making custom products through laser or CNC processing.  

​Plastic is used for making a variety of products including pens, souvenirs, household products and other goods. MC nylon, acetal and many other types of engineering plastics are cut and processed for industrial purposes.

Brass

Brass is an alloy of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn). It is one of the easiest materials to process, and machine into sheets, rods, bars, etc. It is widely used in a variety of industrial settings as well as in making everyday household products like tableware, fashion accessory parts, musical instruments, and other crafts. Names, anniversary dates, logos, and patterns can be engraved on brass, logos and patterns can be carved, and the material can be processed or cut into different shapes or letters.

Aluminum

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is an alloy of iron and chromium. It is hard, highly resistant to corrosion and rust and, can be found in tableware, cooking utensils, knives, scissors, fountain pens, watches, fashion accessories, all sorts of household items and enclosures for various devices.

Surgical steel (316, 440, 420) is a type of stainless steel that is safe to use by humans. It is used for making medical equipment, parts and fashion accessories.

Glass engraving

Leather

Leather can be classified into two types: genuine leather and artificial leather. Leather is durable, has a nice texture and can be formed into different shapes by cutting, stitching and gluing. It is an important crafting material commonly used for making bags, wallets, phone cases, bracelets and etc. Laser machines or CNC machines are used for cutting leather and making brass hot stamps.

Modeling Board, Carving Wax

Modeling boards are materials that are mostly polyurethane. Due to their hard and even physical-mechanical properties, they are ideally used for casting, modeling Styrofoam molds and for making master silicon molds for natural soap, plaster diffusers and chocolate molding.

Carving wax is hard but easy to carve. It has a low melting point and is commonly used for modeling jewelry casts.
